The ½ soldo coin is a pattern that was issued by the Swiss cantons of Uri, Schwyz, and Unterwalden in 1788. It was never put into circulation.

The coin is composed of copper and is circular in shape. Featured in the center of the obverse are the simplified coats of arms of Uri, which consists of a bull's head in the center of a shield; Schwyz, which features a cross in the upper right corner of a shield; and Unterwalden, which consists of a key in the center of a shield. The value "MEZZO SOLDO" (Italian for "half soldo") is displayed on the reverse, with each word printed on its own line, followed by the year of minting. Both the value and the date are surrounded by a laurel wreath that extends around the coin's periphery.
