The note is vertically-oriented, measuring 55 millimeters in width by 79 millimeters in height. The contents of the obverse are located inside an orange frame, ornately decorated at each of its four sides and surrounded by a blue border. The title "Fürstentum Liechtenstein" (English: "Principality of Liechtenstein") is printed at the top. Below are the words "Gutschein über" (English: "voucher"), and below those is the value, written as "Fünfzig heller" (English: "Fifty heller") in a larger font. "Dieser Gutschein verliert seine Gültigkeit, wenn er nicht innerhalb dreier Monate nach erfolgter Aufforderung bei der Landeskasse in Vaduz eingelöst wird" (English: "This voucher is not valid if it is not redeemed within three months after the call from the national treasury in Vaduz") is printed underneath the value. The signatures of Friedrich Walser, the President of the Landtag of Liechtenstein from 1919 to 1922, and Karl Aloys, a member of the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, are featured at the bottom of the note, flanked by a "50" on either side. A white watermark of the coat of arms of Liechtenstein is present on the obverse, printed over by the text. On the reverse, a view of Vaduz, including the Vaduz Castle, is printed in blue ink.
