Josef Tannheimer was a Swiss artist, calligrapher, goldsmith, and engraver from St. Gallen.
Tannheimer was born on October 12, 1913. Years later, he began making art at the Gallus Square in St. Gallen. He is known for engraving the 1 and 2 rappen coins of the Swiss franc. He died on September 20, 2002.
