Johannes Burla is a German-born Swiss engraver and sculptor.
Burla was born in Leipzig, Germany in 1922. From 1942 to 1946, he began his studies at the Basel School of Design. Following this, he began working as a stonemason and sculptor until 1956. He then became a professor at the Basel School of Design and participated in the Venice Biennale. In 1991, Burla engraved the 250 franc coin for Switzerland.
