The 20 dollar coin is a circulation commemorative coin first issued in 2000 by Jamaica. Minting of the coins ceased in 2002, but the coins remain in circulation. It belongs to the National Heroes Series.
The coin is bimetallic, composed of a brass ring with a cupronickel center. It has a mass of 7.8 grams, a diameter of 23 millimeters, and a thickness of 2.5 millimeters. Displayed on the obverse is the coat of arms of Jamaica with the value below and title above. On the reverse, Marcus Garvey is displayed with the year below and the legend, "THE RT. EXCELLENT MARCUS GARVEY NATIONAL HERO" above.
