The 1 peso coin was issued by the Mexican state of Jalisco in 1915, during the Mexican Revolution. It is currently listed in Krause's Standard Catalog of World Coins 1901-2000 under a section entitled "Mexico-Revolutionary/Jalisco".

The coin is composed of copper. A Phrygian cap, a symbol of freedom and liberty, is featured in the center of the obverse, with the coin's value and year inscribed below. The coat of arms of Jalisco is displayed on the reverse.
