The 25 franc coin is a non-circulating legal tender piece of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) that was issued in 1966, during the early presidency of Félix Houphouët-Boigny (1905–1993). It currently holds a legal tender face value equivalent to 25.00 West African CFA francs in Côte d'Ivoire, although it is intended primarily for collectors and does not see much (if any) general circulation. The piece was issued alongside similar 10, 50, and 100 franc coins as well.

The piece is composed of .900 fine gold, weighs approximately 8 grams, and measures 22 millimeters in diameter. It has coin alignment, and like most coins, is round in shape. Featured in the center of the obverse is a right-facing bust of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny, which is accompanied by the caption "PRESIDENT FELIX HOUPHOUET BOIGNY" around the rim of the piece. Such text commences at the coin's bottom left periphery and extends in a clockwise direction to the opposite side of the obverse. The date "1966" is printed at the bottom of the coin, below the likeness of Houphouët-Boigny, separated from the aforementioned caption by two five-pointed stars. Engraved in the middle of the coin's reverse is a facing illustration of an African elephant (Loxodonta africana), the species of elephant native to parts of Côte d'Ivoire. Inscribed horizontally below the depiction is the value "25 FRS.", an abbreviated form of the French 25 Francs. Encircling both of the aforementioned elements on the reverse is a wreath consisting of two branches intersecting at the ends. Outside of the wreath, the French state title of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire without the circumflex, "REPUBLIQUE DE COTE D'IVOIRE", is inscribed in a clockwise direction along the upper rim of the piece, commencing at the left side of the reverse and concluding at the right. The remainder of the rim is occupied by the national motto "UNION • DISCIPLINE • TRAVAIL", which translates to English as "Unity, Discipline, Labor". Such text, written counterclockwise in a smaller font than the state title, is flanked by a five-pointed stars on both of its sides. The rims of both the obverse and reverse are raised.

A total of approximately 2,000 examples of the Ivorian 25 franc coin were produced, all with a proof finish.
