The 10 shilling coin is a commemorative coin of the Republic of Ghana that was issued in 1958, in celebration of the declared independence of the British Gold Coast as the Republic of Ghana in 1957. The piece had a face value equivalent to 10 shillings, or ½ of a pound, prior to its eventual demonetization, although it served as more of a collectible piece and did not see much, if any, circulation. It was distributed by the Bank of Ghana.

The coin is composed of .925 fine silver and has a mass of 28.28 grams and a diameter of 38 millimeters. It has medallic alignment and is round in shape. Inscribed along the edge of the piece is the English text "6 MARCH 1957 - INDEPENDENCE OF GHANA". A right-facing depiction of Kwame Nkrumah (1909–1972), the first Prime Minister and President of Ghana, is displayed in the center of the coin's obverse. The Latin "CIVITATIS GHANIENSIS CONDITOR", translating roughly to English as "Founder of the Ghanaian State", is inscribed along the rim of the piece, commencing upward at the left periphery, arching downward at the top of the coin, and concluding at the right rim. Printed at the bottom boundary of the coin is the caption "KWAME NKRUMAH", separated from the Latin legend above by a small five-pointed star at either side. Engraved in the middle of the reverse is a star similar to that in the center of the flag of Ghana. The word "GHANA" is arched along the upper rim of the coin, while the value "TEN SHILLINGS" is curved around the lower periphery, starting downward at the left rim, arching upward at the bottom of the piece, and concluding at the right boundary. The date "1958" is printed above the upper left and right points of the star, the first two digits separated from the last by the uppermost point, and bullets flank the star to the left and right.

A total of only 11,000 examples of the Ghanaian 10 shilling coin were produced, all in proof quality.
