The 20 pfennig coin was a coin issued by the German Empire. It equalled 20 pfennige or 0.20 mark.

The coin ws issued from 1873 to 1892. From 1873 to 1878, the coin was minted in silver, which equalled 1 gram of its total mass (1.111 g). From 1887 to 1892, the coin was minted in cupronickel. It is described as being slightly smaller than the 10 pfennig coin, reaching 16 mm in diameter and 0.357 mm in thickness. The obverse of the coin features little design, just displaying Deutsches Reich and the year it was minted as well as the value of the coin. The reverse, however, features the Reichsadler of the German Empire.[1][2][3]
