The 5000 dobra banknote was printed by São Tomé and Príncipe in 1996 and 2004. It is currently the lowest denominated banknote of the dobra found in circulation.
The note is predominantly purple in color, and measures 67 millimeters in height by 130 millimeters in width. Depicted on the obverse is Rei Amador and a Principe Starling (Lamprotornis ornatus). On the reverse is an esplanade leading to Plantation Agostinho Neto. For security, a watermark of Rei Amador was added to the note.
