The American Samoan dollar was a commemorative currency issued by American Samoa, an unincorporated territory of the United States, in 1988, during the governorship of Aifili Paulo Lauvao (1919–2002). It consisted solely of coins. These coins have the status of legal tender on American Samoa, though they are intended more for collectors, and are pegged to the United States dollar in value.

In 1988, the Government of American Samoa commissioned the Phillips Mint to coin several commemorative pieces denominated at 1, 5, 25, 50, and 100 dollars. All of these coins commemorated either America's Cup or the 1988 Summer Olympics.
