The 25 centime coin is a former circulation coin of the Democratic Republic of the Congo which was issued in three types in 2002. All were distributed under the authority of the Central Bank of the Congo and produced at a foreign mint. While the pieces continue to hold a legal tender face value equivalent to 0.25 Congolese francs, inflation has rendered them virtually obsolete and they are now rarely circulated.

All three types of the 25 centime coin share the same composition and mass, being made of aluminum, weighing approximately 0.85 grams, and measuring 20 millimeters in diameter and 1.3 millimeters in thickness. They have medallic alignment and a plain edge, and are round in shape. The obverses of the three pieces are common, featuring a lion (Panthera leo) in the center, standing to the left on grassy ground, its head facing out of the coin. Inscribed along the upper periphery of the obverse is the French state title of the Democratic Republic of the Congo without diacritics, reading "REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO". Such text extends clockwise from the left to right boundaries of the coin. Written at the bottom of the piece in the opposite direction is the Gregorian date of minting, "2002". An animal from the Democratic Republic of the Congo appears in the center of the coin's reverse. On some pieces, an African striped weasel (Poecilogale albinucha) is shown facing to the right, and on others a ram goat (Capra aegagrus hircus) is engraved in the same direction, its head facing ½ left. The third piece shows an African wild dog (Lycaon pictus), an animal now found in limited numbers in the Congo, leaping toward the upper right. On the coins featuring the weasel and dog, the face value "25 CENTIMES" is written along the upper periphery of the reverse, while the year "2002" is again inscribed at the bottom of the piece. Examples featuring the goat also show the date at the bottom of the reverse, but the value is instead engraved clockwise along the coin's left periphery. The rims of all three coins are raised and undecorated.

The total mintages of the three 25 centime coins are currently unknown. Only business strikes are known to have been produced. The coins are currently listed in Krause's Standard Catalog of World Coins, the weasel coin under the catalog number KM# 76, the ram piece under KM# 77, and the dog example under KM# 83.
