A. Romanescu was a Romanian engraver. This individual designed the reverse of the Romanian 100,000 leu coin of 1946.

Romanescu's name is shown at the beginning of the "ROMANIA" section in the Standard Catalog of World Coins 1901-2000. The first occurrence of the name is spelled correctly, but the second time Romanescu's name is shown it is erroneously spelled as "A.Rromanescu".
